Well, Snoopy needs someone at least. This sweet young male Dachshund came into Friendswood Animal Control last week. Scared, stressed, and evidently afraid of men, Wednesday was the first day he was able to be worked with by the volunteers and though it took a while, he did warm up to being petted, talked to gently, and fed treats. Finally the volunteer was able to get a leash on him without scaring him, and he had a great time out in the grass and let me take his photos. He still startled when the male Animal Control Officers came near him so he may need someone really willing to work with him and train those fears out of him, and probably a home without children. He is very cute, calm and loves to be held in a lap.
