Must be a different bird than yesterday's post, this one didn't mind being a model. I was drawn by the curving lines and the edge light.

“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety” -Ansel Adams
I like this shot more than the one from yesterday. This one has a simple theme with a well selected and controlled background.
ReplyDeleteThanks Doug. I agree that yesterday's image was not a great flamingo shot, I just thought his/her glare was pretty funny. I am sure if I was held captive in a zoo and had flocks of flamingoes pointing cameras at me, I would have been pretty mad too....
ReplyDeleteI have only seen a few flamingos but I had the prior impression that they were white with a few patches of red. You have educated me that other colors are possible. Or maybe the picture was taken very early or late? The close framing makes a good picture.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Cindy. You must have been channelling you inner Tim Timmis! Gold.
ReplyDeleteThe shallow depth of field really brings your subject forward. I like the simple color pallet.
